Emma Johnson is founder of Virginia Coalition for Boys and Men, Moms for Shared Parenting and is the author of two nonfiction books on gender and family. As a leading advocate for family gender equality, Emma has consulted on policy reform throughout the United States and Europe and presented at the United Nations and Google.
Advisory board
Kyle Miller, PhD, is a global leader in researching father school involvement. Kyle taught in Boston Public Schools before joining the College of Education at Illinois State University where she teaches courses related to child development, working with diverse populations, and research methods. Her research focuses on home-school relationships, father engagement, social justice and trauma-informed practices.
​Curtis Valentine is the nation’s leading advocate researching and promoting male educators. A former eighth grade language arts teacher and Prince George, Md., school board member, Curtis is director of the Future Learning Network at the Progressive Policy Institute, founder of Real Men Teach, a community of educators working to recruit and retain male educators of color and adjunct professor at University of Maryland. Curtis recently joined the American Institute for Boys and Men as founder-in-residence, building the first policy institute dedicated solely to male educators.
